Forum Post: Accutane 30mg Sales

Posted by: SkincareSeeker

Hey everyone,

I've been struggling with severe acne for years now. A friend recommended I look into Accutane (isotretinoin). Has anyone here used it, and if so, where can I find the 30 mg dosage? Also, what are your experiences?

Hi SkincareSeeker,

Firstly, it's important to understand that Accutane (or isotretinoin as it is known generically) should only be prescribed and taken under strict medical supervision due to its potential side effects. It can have serious consequences if not managed properly.

If you are interested in pursuing this treatment route, I would recommend visiting a dermatologist who can evaluate your skin condition and determine whether isotretinoin is the right course of action for you. They will also be able to prescribe it at the appropriate dosage.

It's worth noting that purchasing medication like Accutane outside of legitimate medical channels can be extremely risky. Not only are such sources often illegal, but they may also not provide the real drug or a safe version of it.

Please ensure you consult with a healthcare provider for this medication as there is no legal or ethical way to sell isotretinoin online without a prescription from your doctor.

DermDoc27, thank you so much for the advice! I completely agree that safety comes first. My dermatologist did suggest Accutane, but it was quite expensive at my local pharmacy. Do you have any tips on how to manage the cost?

Hi AcneWarrior,

I understand that isotretinoin can be quite pricey and that this is a concern for many patients.

  1. Insurance Coverage: Check if your insurance plan covers isotretinoin. If it does, you might only have to pay the copay amount.

  2. Patient Assistance Programs (PAP): Many pharmaceutical companies offer patient assistance programs that can help reduce the cost of medication. For example, Amneal Pharmaceuticals (which makes generic isotretinoin) offers a PAP for those who qualify.

  3. Generic Options: Sometimes generic versions are less expensive than brand-name Accutane. Ask your pharmacist or dermatologist about this option.

  4. Pharmacy Discount Programs: Some pharmacies and independent organizations offer discount cards that can reduce the cost of medications like isotretinoin.

  5. Discuss with Your Doctor: Sometimes, doctors will prescribe a lower dose initially to see how you react before increasing it. This might help manage costs while still treating your acne effectively.

Always discuss these options with your healthcare provider and ensure any savings come from legitimate sources. Do not resort to purchasing medication online without a prescription or from unverified sellers as this can be dangerous for your health.
